Welcome to Marist Albion’s Junior and Teenage Rugby Player Information page for the 2026 season!

Whether you’re new to the club or returning, this is your hub for registrations, season details, and key updates.

As part of NZ Marist Rugby, our juniors enjoy extra opportunities, including the annual Pompallier Trophy Tournament for Y4, Y6, and Y8 players. Some of our teams also compete in the National Global Games.

Off the field, our clubrooms are open Saturdays during home games from 4pm. With food available, a family-friendly vibe, and a playground out back, it’s the perfect place to gather after the game.

Registration

ALL new and returning junior players are required to register for the 2026 season using the online registration process. Rugby Xplorer is the nominated registration and game management platform implemented by NZ Rugby. For a guide on how to set up your Rugby Xplorer account, click here.


WHEN FILLING IN THIS FORM PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING:

  • That all of the Parent/Guardian and Player profiles (especially contact details) are filled in accurately;

  • That the school that your child/teenager attends is nominated (if at school);

  • That the year group that your child/teenager is currently enrolled in at school for 2026 is correctly nominated (if your child does not go to school yet select NA);

  • That an accurate weight for your child/teenager is provided to ensure correct grading;

  • If you are paying subs for more than one child in your family (see pricing below), you will need to register them all in the same session to be eligible for the family discount.

All of these details greatly assist the committee when selecting your child in the correct team for the 2026 season.

RUGBY XPLORER ACCOUNT SETUP GUIDE

Key Information

  • Saturday Rugby (Girls and Boys):
    Year 1 - 2: Rippa Rugby (Non-Contact)
    Years 3 - 8: Tackle (Contact)

    Girls Monday Night Rugby:
    Years 4 - 9: Tackle (Contact)

    Senior Girls Saturday Rugby:
    Years 9 - 13: Tackle (Contact)

  • You will receive an email following the successful submission to confirm registration.

    ​Once you have completed your online registration and payment, your next step will be one of the following:

    • All new players MUST attend our registration night (date to be confirmed) to provide a proof of identity (a copy of a current passport or birth certificate is fine) and to get weighed in. This is also a good opportunity to meet the committee and ask them any questions you may have about the upcoming season.

    • Returning Year 1 & Year 2 players - will be able to collect their jerseys from their team managers either at team musters or preseason trainings.

    • All Year 3 and above players MUST attend one of the official Weigh-In nights, either at the clubrooms, or at another participating venue (date to be confirmed). Jerseys will be distributed to players either at club musters or preseason trainings.

  • Our 2026 subscription fees are as follows: - includes a team photo for each player and a jersey (to be returned at the end of season)

    $90 for one player (child/teenager)

    $150 for two players (children/teenagers) from the same family

    $200 for 3 or more players (children/teenagers) from the same family
