2024 Coaches are locked in!

Ross Kennedy and Ben Blair return to the Premier Coaching Group and will look to continue the success of recent seasons.

Ross Kennedy returns as head coach and brings his extensive knowledge of set piece and adds significant experience which will help the players to grow over the course of the season. Ben Blair stays on as assistant/backs coach and brings a wealth of experience, continuing to develop the attacking identity of the playing group.

Sam Chamberlain has also joined the coaching team. Sam was the captain of Tasman Mako 7’s when they won the national tournament in 2018. He has been and still is coaching at Christ’s College who has wonderful talent in coaching skills. Sam joins Ross and Ben to support all round but he’s also looking to develop his coaching ability through our experienced coaching group.

Henry Allen joins us as Premier Reserve head coach. Henry brings a tonne of experience having played over 50 premier games for the club and having played first class rugby, running out for a NZ Marist side. He is an expert in the dark arts of scrummaging and will be a key member of our club. He will be ably assisted by the excellent management of Kori “Sheds” Jones.

Andre de Joux returns to the Colts helm after a challenging season. We were very impressed how he got a good bunch of young men to overcome adversity and finish the season really strong, developing character and ability in the Group. Andre’s coaching background hails from South Canterbury where he has been extremely successful with the Celtic club and South Canterbury development rep sides.

Andre is joined by Mike Smith, who is an excellent coach with 20 years coaching experience. He has helped our Blinders in the past and Mike’s detailed approach and great track record with school teams will pair well leading the future of our club.

To get ready for the season we have the following options available to ALL Senior players, for which we encourage you to attend.
