Play your rugby at Marist Albion in 2023
ALL new and returning junior players are required to register for the 2023 season using the online registration process. For new junior players, click here. If you played for Marist Albion in 2022, you will receive an invitation to re-register via email on Sunday 19th February , please keep an eye on your inbox for this. The 2023 season starts on Saturday 6th May.
WHEN FILLING IN THIS FORM PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING:
- That all of yours and your child's details (especially your contact details) are filled in accurately;
- That you choose the school that your child attends;
- That you choose the age group that you would like your child to play in for the 2023 season (see table of guidelines below for age grades).
- That you provide an accurate weight for your child/ren to ensure correct grading (view the 2023 Junior Weight Chart here.)
- If you are paying subs for more than one child in your family (see pricing below), please include the names of the children in the final section of the registration form. You will receive an email following submission to confirm you are registered. To complete your registration, payment of your 2023 subs must also be processed, online payment is easy and is available on completion of the online registration form.
All of these details greatly assist the committee when placing your child in the correct team for the 2023 season.

Once you have completed your online registration and payment, your next step will be one of the following:
- All new players MUST attend one of our registration nights (dates to be confirmed) and provide us with proof of identity (a copy of a current passport or birth certificate is fine) and to get weighed in. This is also a good opportunity to meet the committee and ask them any questions you may have about the upcoming season.
- U6 & U7 players - will be able to collect their jerseys from their team managers at their first practise, you can expect to hear from your 2023 management team shortly after registrations close.
- U8 and above will be required to attend an official Weigh In night at the clubrooms (date to be confirmed). This season jerseys will be distributed directly to team management who will issue jerseys at preseason trainings.
Our 2023 subscription fees are as follows: - includes a team photo for each player and a jersey (to be returned at the end of season)
$80 for one child
$130 for two or more children from the same family
We are proud to be affiliated with NZ Marist Rugby and can also offer additional rugby experiences throughout the season for our junior members. U9, U11 and U13 players have the opportunity to further represent Marist Albion at the Pompallier Trophy Tournament, an annual event involving junior teams from Marist Albion, Ashburton Celtic, Timaru Celtic and St. Joseph's Oamaru.
We encourage our players and supporters to attend our clubrooms each Saturday. The clubrooms are a family friendly environment and are open from 4pm, the bar is open and food is available for purchase. The playground is conveniently located via the back staircase.
